PATHOLOGICAL GAMBLING

The application consists of various gambling environments, such as (slot machine, casino, etc.) with different stimuli that make it possible to facilitate the exposure and the prevention of the patient’s response. This way the patient can expose him or herself at their own pace to the situations that produce in him or her the impulse to play.

The exposure takes place at the psychologist’s office allowing this setting to approach different playing contexts without having to leave the office and more important, offering the patient the security of being able to work in those risky situations without actually being there. Also, since it is an environment generated by the computer, there exists an absolute control of all of the events that may occur, above all, in reference to the winning and losing of money and the consequences that this may have.
