The Virtual Reality
applications developed by PREVI consist on a software package
(PC CD-ROM format), whose virtual scenarios have been developed
accordingly to the psychological disorder to be tackled. The
virtual environments have proved to be effective in the assessment
and treatment of the target disorder, and they have the following
characteristics:
- They have been clinically validated
- The images have been highly finished to achieve
the highest realism
- They are pioneer in their development
A deep knowledge of each disorder, including its psychopathology
and clinical characteristics, has been put on the development
of each program. The therapeutic strategies that the scientific
literature considers the most effective have also been taken
into account when designing the software. Each virtual application
has been clinically tested, and thus its effectiveness proved,
previously. This has been possible thanks to the different
projects that PREVI's team has undertaken. Thus, all our products
have passed the scientific and ethical controls needed to
be used in a therapeutic context. Its effectiveness as diagnosis
and treatment tools is proved and validated.
We believe these are products of great interest for those
psychiatric/ psychological clinics of private offices that
want to make use of the latest progresses and services for
the treatment of very common phobias.
